Several individuals know Annie Murphy from her portrayal of Alexis Rose on Schitt’s Creek. On the other hand, the 33-calendar year-aged actress wasn’t usually well known.

“I auditioned for Alexis and I received a contact from Dan [Levy] after my to start with audition, asking me to also audition for Stevie,” she explained to Vulture in 2018. “So, I finished up tests for each of these ladies, and it was tremendous exciting to be able to engage in unique characters. But as quickly as I met Emily [Hampshire, who performs Stevie], I was like, Why on earth would these individuals entertain the strategy of anybody else actively playing this portion? She blows it out of the drinking water. I believe a portion of it was, I was a brunette when I auditioned. And Eugene [Levy] was possessing a definitely, definitely tricky time wrapping his head around the reality that Alexis is blonde and Annie Murphy is brunette. He could not quite get there, so Dan experienced to tape pics of blonde hair on my photograph. It ultimately received through to him, thank goodness.”

Schitt’s Creek is now in its sixth and last time.
