MUMBAI (Reuters) – Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who gained acclaim for his role in the 2016 biopic of then Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, was discovered dead at his property in Mumbai on Sunday, law enforcement claimed.
He was 34 yrs previous.
“It pains us to share that Sushant Singh Rajput is no lengthier with us,” a spokesperson for the actor claimed in a statement.
Rajput was discovered dead at his residence on Sunday early morning and an investigation is ongoing, a spokesperson for the Mumbai law enforcement claimed, declining to give even further facts.
Regional media described that the actor had been discovered hanging from the ceiling of his property.
Rajput’s death sent shockwaves as a result of Bollywood and Indian sport, with tributes and condolences pouring in on social media.
“This is just so surprising. A excellent talent. RIP Sushant,” actor Abhishek Bachchan claimed on Twitter.
Rajput begun his performing vocation with tv cleaning soap operas and manufactured his Bollywood debut in 2013. He had acted in ten films and his eleventh, an official remake of the Hollywood strike “The Fault in Our Stars”, is scheduled for launch later on this 12 months.
Indian Key Minister Narendra Modi also expressed shock about the actor’s death.
“A bright youthful actor gone way too quickly … His rise in the planet of enjoyment influenced several and he leaves driving numerous memorable performances,” Modi claimed on Twitter.
