A letter penned by US singer Dolly Parton was examine at the funeral service of Ladysmith Black Mambazo founder, Joseph Shabalala.
Minister Nathi Mthethwa, who played the part of co-programme director at the service on Saturday, delivered the note to the viewers.
“My coronary heart, adore, and prayers are with Joseph Shabalala’s spouse and children and friends these days. I, like all of you, know what a fantastic, warm, and gifted gentleman he was. A single of the greatest joys of my lifestyle and occupation was functioning with Joseph and Ladysmith Black Mambazo on my record pf Peace Prepare. Very well, Joseph is riding that peace prepare now. And my want for you, Joseph, is to relaxation in peace as you journey these days,” it reads.
Ladysmith Black Mambazo’s operate with Dolly Parton included a collaboration on tracks Peace Prepare and Knockin’ on Heaven’s Doorway.
