Movie theaters are not throwing away their shot to have “Hamilton” on the large display screen. Disney is bringing a movie of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical feeling with the unique Broadway forged to cinemas in North The united states on Oct. fifteen, 2021.
The movie edition is not an adaptation in the vein of Miranda’s approaching “In the Heights,” but fairly a “live capture” of a stage performance. It was shot at the Richard Rogers Theatre in Manhattan right before founding associates began to depart the production.

We’re thrilled to partner with Disney to bring the unique Broadway enterprise of ‘Hamilton’ to the most significant viewers probable.”
Kail added, “We are thrilled for enthusiasts of the show, and new audiences across the world, to experience what it was like on stage — and in the viewers — when we shot this at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway in June of 2016. We preferred to give all people the identical seat, which is what this movie can deliver,” explained Thomas Kail.
Miranda teased the venture to Selection previous week at Sundance Movie Competition, stating “Hamilton” would with any luck , get the large-display screen treatment “sooner fairly than afterwards.”
