‘Measuring millimetres’ on a gold Napoleonic dress coat

A skilled hand embroiderer has been commissioned to structure gold embroidery onto a exceptional Napoleonic military services jacket.

Liz Tapper from Lenham Needlecraft, in Somerset, has been meticulously researching documents to integrate the delicate needlework for an Italian shopper.

The armed service particulars and references from 1769-1821 will be stitched working with professional goldwork threads and techniques.
