More than two dozen bus windows shattered in Downtown Eastside

Police think anyone might have been throwing projectiles at transit buses alongside Hastings Avenue.

This early morning, Vancouver law enforcement issued a news launch revealing that 26 home windows have been broken on these vehicles considering that January 17.

Investigators consider that they all transpired in the early mornings along Hastings among Gore and Cambie streets.

“The frequency of these incidents is raising and we are apprehensive another person could get harm,” Const. Tania Visintin stated in the launch.

The VPD is conducting an investigation with Transit Law enforcement.

“In each individual of these circumstances, the damaged home windows weren’t immediately found by the motorists or noted by the passenger,” Metro Vancouver Transit Law enforcement Const. Amanda Steed said in the same release. “It was only right after the motorists concluded their shift that the harm was uncovered.”
