New series Strays is about life at a Hamilton animal shelter

Strays, a spin-off collection of the beloved Kim’s Advantage, is premiering following 7 days with Hamilton as the backdrop for its hilarity. 

The initial series, made by Thunderbird Amusement, follows Shannon (Nicole Ability) as she moves absent from Toronto for a new lifetime as the govt director of the Hamilton East Animal Shelter. 

Nikki Duval, who plays Shannon’s apathetic cousin Nikki, described filming the series as a “wild” endeavor to navigate the interruptions of lovable puppies, squawking birds, and bunnies copulating.

Cox-O’Connell plays the animal treatment supervisor Kristian — a character who’s “fantastic with animals, humans not so substantially.”
