A spouse and children of energized Star Wars supporters have turned up at a new exhibition on the construction of the Millennium Falcon months right before it opens.
A daily life-measurement prop of the spaceship was developed in Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire, in 1979 for the Empire Strikes Back, which was filmed in Elstree.
And news of a lasting exhibition there, owing to open up in April, pushed some admirers to make the leap to hyperspace prematurely.
Mark Williams, who operates for the Pembroke Dock Rely on, claimed one family experienced “jumped the gun a little bit” amid a flurry of phone calls, e-mail and social media posts from lovers.
