Reggae icon Frederick ‘Toots’ Hibbert would have celebrated his 79th birthday on Wednesday, December 8. In celebration of this celebration, the Jamaica Cultural Growth Commission, an company of the Ministry of Society, Gender, Enjoyment and Activity, hosted a floral tribute at his resting position at the Countrywide Heroes Park in Kingston.
Minister of Culture, Gender, Leisure and Activity Olivia Grange laid the tribute and gave remarks in remembrance of the late reggae icon. Representing the family members was his granddaughter Cressida Rattigan, the vice-president of Toots Basis and the co-executor of his estate, who, last year, launched balloons at the
