Cary, N.C. — An artist checking out Cary for the Lazy Daze Arts Festival claimed his trailer complete of pottery, a tent, tables and other products was stolen.
Robin Rodgers, a pottery artist from Atlanta, Ga., claimed the items stolen totaled about $10,000. The trailer he rented for the pageant was stolen from the parking whole lot of his lodge in Cary Friday night time.
Rodgers told WRAL News he attends art festivals about the region for a living, but he has now misplaced anything. He has been a potter for 30 many years.
“Someday this early morning, a thief disconnected my rented U-Haul from my automobile and stole the total trailer with ALL my function, screen and textual content, pedestals, tables, covers, resources, risers, and many others. Total Loss. We are devastated,” he posted on Facebook.
Rodgers and his wife were being keeping at the Hilton Yard Inn at 131 Columbus Ave. in Cary. He thinks the thieves disconnected his trailer and set it on their possess truck.
“Friday early morning, when I woke up, in advance of I bought in the shower, I seemed out the window to verify on my automobile and my trailer,” Rodgers said. “And I thought that I was dreaming that my trailer was not linked anymore to my car.”
“I threw some clothing on genuine rapid and ran downstairs and absolutely sure enough, my trailer was long gone.”
Surveillance movie from the hotel caught the incident on camera, and Cary law enforcement are now hunting for a white Ford 150 and the U-Haul trailer, which has Pennsylvania tags.
