WEIRTON — The will work of 21 customers of the Steubenville Artwork Affiliation are highlighted as section of a distinctive exhibit on display at the Summit Artwork Gallery, found at 3539 Main St., Weirton.

The gallery is managed by the Leading of West Virginia Arts Council, which operates less than the umbrella of the Major of WV Convention and Readers Bureau. New exhibitions open up at the gallery each two months.

Major of WV CVB is an independent nonprofit firm ruled by a volunteer board of administrators.

The opening reception for the SAA-member exhibit was held July 7. The present proceeds by means of Aug. 27. Gallery hrs are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday by Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Parking is out there at the rear of the making.

Bob Watson is celebration chair and coordinator for the WV Arts Council and a trustee of the SAA. He originated the party and appointed Gina Judy, also a member of the TWVAC, as show coordinator with the SAA. The two have been portion of the artwork hanging committee that bundled Judy Schmidt, SAA president, and member Paula Siebieda.

The SAA, a nonprofit group of persons intrigued in the development of fine artwork, began extra than 70 decades back to offer community artists an opportunity to progress their imaginative skills. Workshops and demonstrations are provided to stimulate creative advancement with artwork reveals displaying the visible arts and supplying social engagement of the artists.

Membership is made up of neighborhood artists expressing them selves via a wide variety of media. The SAA is supported by yearly dues, commissions on gross sales from exhibits and outside contributions. It has made scholarship fund donations to nearby significant school seniors graduating who are continuing their education in a four-yr art program.
