Scotiabank Giller Prize-winning author Ian Williams to write a book of essays about race, due out in fall 2021

Ian Williams, creator of the 2019 Scotiabank Giller Prize-profitable novel Reproduction, is creating a book about race.

The nonfiction book, titled Disorientation: The Encounter of Remaining Black in the Globe, will be unveiled in the slide of 2021.

Disorientation is motivated by the essays of the late American creator James Baldwin in Notes of a Native Son and No person Understands my Identify. The forthcoming book will examine problems these as the character of Black id and becoming Black in the environment.
