The Ministry of National Safety is reminding intrigued individuals that the deadline for submissions for the Are living. Adore. Everyday living. Anti-Violence Artwork Exhibition is January 31 – February 10, 2020.

Late very last yr, the Minister of National Safety Wayne Caines declared a partnership with Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Artwork to host the anti-violence consciousness initiative.

The exhibition will be held from February 28 – March 6, 2020 and is open up to all intrigued individuals [there is no age restrict]. Submissions should be produced all-around the topic, interpretation and/or concept of decreasing violence in the community.

Minister Caines stated currently, “Since we declared our exhibition, we’ve been very encouraged with the degree desire and feed-back from the community. Men and women certainly have a desire to be creative and this initiative has introduced a purposeful option for them to share their talents.”

“We thank the Bermuda Law enforcement Service and the Gang Violence Reduction Crew led by Pastor Leroy Bean for their efforts to suppress the anti-social conduct around the holiday year. Even so we believe that there are several strategies to handle this problem.

“And our Ministry stays dedicated to introducing programmes aimed at decreasing violence. The Are living. Adore. Everyday living. Anti-Violence Artwork Exhibition seeks to interact our community by creative imagination. The future Masterworks Exhibition will offer an option for our community, primarily our youthful folks to express on their own by a variety of inventive mediums.

“The arts can offer an outlet for self-expression, and this exhibition is component of our continuing outreach efforts to elevate consciousness about the value of decreasing violence and anti-social conduct. We want folks to channel their vitality into staying creative.”

“The Ministry encouraged that funds prizes totaling $9,000 will be awarded for exceptional art in the subsequent classes:”
