Long-time B.C. electronic music festival on pause following sexual violence allegations

The Shambhala Tunes Festival, hosted in Salmo, B.C., due to the fact 1998, is postponing this summer’s digital function after sexual violence allegations have been created on line versus at the very least a person of its performers.

In a news release circulated on Saturday, organizers of the digital dance tunes competition said there have been critical allegations made versus previous and present performers.

“We realize that types of sexual violence exist in our society and we choose accountability for the purpose festivals engage in in this,” organizers said in the release.
